Capullo, Informática romántica para avanzados

Si eres latino, or you really dig Latin music like we do. "Informática romántica para avanzados" will definitely make your summer (¡hizo nuestra primavera!).

Here we have, a couple of brothers under the name of "Led" and, a quite unique friend called, "Prima Sandunga". All of them from Aguascalientes, México; tweaking Latino grooves with very interesting electronic dance music and, in the way, having a lot of fun writing silly lyrics in Spanish about Mexico's day-to-day cyber love life misfortunes. So, in a way, yeah, this can definitely be considered as Mexican "Hot Water Music" (Aguascalientes stands for "Hot Waters").

Once you listen to Capullo's music, you'll probably wonder why we released it. Don't worry. We don't blame you. But the answer is pretty obvious, really: We're from Mexico. We're Latin, deep inside, most of us really like kinky silly music. And that would also probably explain why we have such shitty soap operas. It's in our blood. Maybe you should try ignoring your problems dancing and singing to this music too. Seriously. Besides, their music might sound happy, but the lyrics aren't, really. Consider Capullo as our REAL youth's (not the one online) latest "emotronica". Yeah, yeah. New World Music, Urban Latin Rhythms, yada-yada. Whatever you wish, mijo. But, please, instead of making a weird face, help us spread this music around your globetrotting and next door parties. You won't regret: More than one person will ask you "What the hell are you listening to?"

So, go on and go crazy, you kitschy music DJ. We're also very happy to come up with this unique kind of music. Enjoy!

E.lebleu: You, Me & The Werewolves

Four years can really make a difference. In 2005, Eric Gamboa delivered through Soundsister Two Years Off, a delicate, ethereal ambient folk album based on electroacustic experimentation, field recordings and noisy, warm introspection. But something changed. Gamboa is in a different place now, and with You, Me and The Werewolves (Poni Republic, 2009) he has a new goal: to make you dance!

In only 6 songs, this EP really gets diverse, taking elements from the wide dance territory, like techno/house/minimal/hiphop-ish beats, chopped vocal samples, wobbling basses, moving synths, clicks'n'cuts, you name it. The only vocals are provided by Poni fellow Nuuro, on the track "The Mothman", which sounds like a late-night England. This isn't the only collaboration: Mexican friend Rugoso adds flavor to "Polynesian Rush", while Gamboa wrestles with laptop artist Plug on a pretty fun, upbeat, live versus called "Pony Ride". Damn, I'm already tapping my toes.

This new E.lebleu release deserves at least a listen, but I recommend 2 or 3, just to have those beats burnt into your brain. So, who knows? If at first he took two years off, then four, then maybe in six years we'll get a grind / hardcore punk album or something like that. We'll wait and see.

Bufi, Homeless Hero EP

Divina juventud. Divino Bufi.

Todosantos, Acid Girlzzz EP

What Alberto Stangarone, Ernesto Pantin and Mariana Martin have in common besides their unique sound, is that each of their current members are highly notorious in Caracas' indie scene since the early 2000's. They've only released one LP entitled Aeropuerto, and that independent recording got them great reviews and gigs all over the world, including TV. Barcelona, New York, Austin, Caracas or Bogotá, it doesn't matter where they are, people dance, because their language is understood world-wide: FIESTA! FIESTA! FIESTA! You know what we mean?

Hit their mega bass with a quirky booty shake, 'cause Todosantos' grimey acid wave house and "tukky bass" is nothing we've heard before, though you can easily guess by listening tunes like "Pao!", that sometime during their NY tour last year, they took a shit load of happy acid and danced with white kids at a couple of Ed Banger's parties. You might consider doing that sometime too, you know, before you hit that ugly 35...

Acid Girlzzz is an audiovisual EP that contains 3 pods (or audiovisual & portable tracks) in mp4 & DVD format to be reproduced on your iPod, iTunes, DVD players or DVD mixers for VJ's. Heavy Bass & powerfull club tracks to set the room on fire.

You should also know what Todosantos re-released Acid Girlzzz EP through Flamin Hotz' Records in a packaging that includes marbeled colored vinyl, a DVD containing 3 videopods & high quality mp3s, 3-D artwork with custom 3-D glasses, and remixes by Cousin Cole, System D-128, Leif, and Cardopusher! Be sure to get that one too because THE VERSIONS ON THIS RELEASE ARE DIFFERENT than the ones featured on the Flamin Hotz' release, they are much more dancefloor guided and you can listen to them at their MySpace.
